Music
Barnstormer Studios aims to promote the work of several established and up-and-coming musicians and composers.
Amongst these are the following:

Deejman
Deejman plays drums and percussion in the Bournemouth-based Prog-Rock and Indie-blues band, The Point of No Return. He has also played in indie-pop outfit, Ethereal and the Elevated and with good-time party crew, the Helluvit Blues Band. As well as recording tracks with each of these bands, he has featured on recordings by Roberto Lo Baido (Italy) and Mr X (Oman). Deejman is also a songwriter, who has penned the lyrics and developed the melodies for a series of tracks recorded by The Point of No Return, including “International Man of Mystery”, “Road Trip”, “Livin’ it up” and “Celtic March”. Inspired by the Latin rhythms and soaring guitar work of Santana, as well as the lyrics of Bruce Springsteen, Deejman says that he does his best to bring some soul to all of his musical work – whether that shows on his face or not! Deejman also plays drums, whistles and wears a cravat in the Chap Rock band “The Other Chaps”.

Kai Oyama-Jones
Kai plays classical, pop and rock piano in his own group, The Funky Chickens. Latterly, he has played in A-OK, alongside his pals Alex and Owen and most recently in the 4-piece classic rock band Redhill (with Alex on guitar, Owen on drums and Ben on vocals). He has co-written jingles and up-beat dance numbers with various other members of his band, as well as with Deejman. He has performed at various venues around Bournemouth, including Chaplins, Poole Hill Brewery and the Bell. He was part of the “Lucy Rocks Bomo” events in the spring of 2023, within the Bournemouth – Lucerne Twinning Association band exchange project.
In a relatively short space of time, Kai has developed impressive skills in a range of different creative pursuits, including videography, stop-motion videos, illustration, fine art and musical composition. Kai also plays in a Bournemouth-based rock band called A-OK, alongside his pals Alex and Owen.
